The inspiration for this series came to me in the midst of a simple lunch with a dear friend. She opened up to me, revealing a deeply personal part of her life. I was struck by the trust she had in our friendship and the comfort to be her genuine self without fear of judgment. Later that day as I worked on these paintings, I couldn't help but reflect on the incredible privilege it is to have people, whether friends, acquaintances, or even strangers, confide in me and be their authentic selves.

The colors and shapes in these paintings naturally evolved into the gentle, soothing aesthetics of sea glass, creating a visual representation of my appreciation for those who live their truth, who are willing to be vulnerable and be seen. "Sea Glass" celebrates the beauty of people who put themselves out there and invites you to ponder the value of authenticity in a world where being your true self is a precious gift.
